Approach

How we work.

Senior throughout

The person you meet is the person who does the work. No handover to a junior team once the engagement starts.

Grounded in evidence

Recommendations rest on what is actually in place: the systems, the data, the dependencies and the commitments already made.

Decisions, not documents

The output is a call the board can act on, with the options, consequences and sequencing set out plainly.

Designed to hand over

Governance, ownership and decision records that continue to hold after Craystoun has left.

About

Who we are.

Craystoun is led by Euan Cranston. Its work sits where technology, data and operations meet, at the moments that carry the most consequence: a transaction, a separation, a platform that has stopped scaling, a programme that needs an honest assessment before more money goes in.

Euan has spent twenty years in senior technology roles, as chief architect, interim chief data officer and interim CTO, both independently and inside consulting firms. That includes running acquired or separated organisations through to the conclusion of the transaction, businesses with revenues into the hundreds of millions, and working on the sell side of asset disposals. Earlier in his career he held general management roles at regional managing director level in an international group, accountable for a portfolio of operating businesses.

Invitations to work usually come from CIOs and CTOs, directors, shareholders, private equity, business unit leaders and fellow consultants who need a seasoned operator to guide transformation and improvement, particularly where data, operational or technology challenges are complex. Work spans UK central government and regulators, financial services, manufacturing, pharma, life sciences and utilities.

Engagement

Defined pieces of work or ongoing advisory.
